Dreamworld has announced that a new Intamin Gyro Swing thrill ride named King Claw will open at the park in 2025.

At a towering 27 metres, King Claw will be more than 50% higher than the park's current version, The Claw, which opened in 2004.

Reaching a blistering 98 km/h, 50% faster than its predecessor, King Claw’s arc swings 42 metres high, soaring beyond Steel Taipan’s tallest point.

Meet the beast that’s about to rewrite the rules of thrill. King Claw is coming—and it's nothing short of monstrous (in the very best way).

Legend speaks of a sea creature the size of a ship with the form of a dragon, and it’s about to make its mark on Dreamworld. King Claw takes you to staggering new heights, swinging further and faster than ever before. Brace yourself for a thrill that builds on The Claw’s legacy, taking every swing to a whole new level.

The Claw closes in January 2025, so there’s still time for one last ride—or a few! Construction on King Claw then starts in February, with the ride’s arrival set for late 2025.
